Summertime, reading time!
What is the city’s most awaited event in the summer? The Hong Kong Book Fair 2018, which kicks off today, is the place to be for all book lovers and we at the Federation are no exception. This year we have 11 new books on a variety of topics, both educational and enticing.
Parents will glean insights into the difficult, yet always exciting challenges, of child rearing through case studies and celebrity sharing in Nurture Your Kid - 12 Ideas. Aspiring home master chefs will find more useful recipes and the heartwarming stories behind each dish in Cooking for You. Culture and history aficionados will not want to miss HK Postcards and Moment of Memories which creatively illustrate the city’s past and present.
Visit us and find out more at 1A-C21, in the General Books Pavilion from 18-24 July. Also meet our M21 team which will be offering a reporter training programme again this year. Come and join the other book worms of Hong Kong; grab a few books, but also consider making a donation at https://juven.co/goodforgood to receive special coupons and exclusive discounts from participating exhibitors at the Fair.

Latest Survey on Further Studies from
HKFYG's DSE 2777 1112

A survey was conducted with 722 candidates before the release of HKDSE result. About half (49%) of the respondents graded their stress levels at 7-10 out of 10. In addition,
  • 63.4% targeted at a university degree, which is considered the basic academic qualification nowadays (76.7%) and beneficial to their career prospects (70.4%);
  • 67.3% considered vocational training a second-rate option.
Recommendations Students should consider their own interests and strength in choosing their future pathway and stay open to non-university pursuit. The authority should perfect the education system to increase the recognition of vocational and professional education and training.
The HKFYG's DSE 2777 1112 now provides special supportive service to the DSE students and their parents.
