Special needs call for special care
When problems arise in learning as a result of ADHD, autism or other special educational needs (SEN), life can become very difficult for students, parents and teachers. Long queues in government clinics, where the medical experts can be consulted, make things even harder.

Early clinical assessment of SEN is the key and counselling can help those who suffer. HKFYG's Wellness Mind Centre works closely with schools and students. It supports building a SEN-friendly teaching environment in response to students' learning needs. It can also help by offering training once diagnoses have been given, but much remains to be done if we are to tackle problems that arise at school and at home in a timely fashion.

Let's work together on this, for the sake of all stakeholders, for the sake of youth.
