Back to school with positive energy
HKFYG Wellness Mind Centre
Emotional problems are frequent in today's students and as term starts we remember the alarming recent trends in youth depression and suicide. Those in contact with youth have to be skilled and well-informed in order to offer timely help.

Over 20% of 1,500 cases handled by Federation counsellors in the 2016-17 academic year involved emotional issues, the second most common problem after study and family issues. Counsellors at HKFYG believe in an integrated approach, with teachers and school social workers working together to show students how to accept and control negative emotions, be resilient and understand emotion in others.

Teachers' hotline 2777 1567 for advice on tackling students' emotional issues
Lines open Every Friday from 4pm to 8pm
