V Day: conference and volunteer awards

CITIC Ka Wah Bank has always been ready and willing to demonstrate corporate citizenship by sponsoring leadership development programmes. This time, they gave a philanthropic and well deserved boost to the volunteer leadership cadre, a vital element in the successful accomplishment of these services. The bank's generous donation of HK$200,000 supported the Conference of Youth Volunteer Leaders on 4th December. Organized by the Federation's Youth Volunteer Network (VNET), it celebrated International Volunteer Day and gave public recognition to the contributions made by outstanding youth volunteers. 800 volunteer leaders participated, focusing on spreading the message of caring for one's fellows through the spirit of volunteerism and motivating youth to participate.
